Spin the bottle was created and recorded virtually during the covid lockdown. The song was born from a drum beat that our drummer Kent recorded and shared with Nels. Nels wrote the riffs and lyrics that reflected the confusion, fears and emotions many of us were feeling at the time.

Or are we sitting in the lawn chair, soaking up lies

Surrounded by blank stares
But I guess that's easier than thinking about our lives

Making plans upon plans to turn fate
Somethings we weren't meant to escape
And that's alright
This year's shorter season of hope
Got us thinking harder on ropes and knots that slide

What can you show
For a month on the dole
A couple bottles of beer, and a used set of speakers
It's hard to get down off the money go round
And round and round and round it goes
Nobody knows, where it will stop when death spins the bottle
What can you do, when it's pointed at you but give it a kiss
And hope that you're missed

Is anybody in there
Or just empty space behind those eyes
You got a nice blue pair
With the thousand yard stare at every new sunrise
Is anybody in there
What's really going on inside
Are you sucking in the hot air
Did you take your skull for a ride?
